I have fitted avo ajustable shocks on my 2.8i capri.
As soon as fitted the right side now has a knocking noise and the pass side shock is like I have a bird chearping in my boot (I guessed they needed settling in)
Then the pass side suspension has developed a realy bad nocking, like the drivers side but ten times worse.
Could this be worn leaf spring bushes?
Thanks
James

One end or the other of the shocks is not done up correctly.
Get an assistant to drive the car whilst you climb in the boot.
Take the little bungs out so you can touch the top of the shock.
If I'm right, you will feel the knock.
The squeek is normal with AVO's - a bit cheap and chearfull I'm afraid.
We've gone over to GAZ which so far seem to be in a different league.

Just some of what we do
No where on the Caprisport site are AVO shocks recommended.
They are simply mentioned as being fitted to the silver 2.9 EFI.
Gaz rear shocks are also listed as being fitted to the 24v. again, no recommendation.
Seems to me that it's always someone else fault - about time you took ownership for your own mistakes.
This tread came about because you didn't fit the things properly in the first place. Don't think I need comment any further, do you?
