Possible suspension problem?

Hi

I've been having a severe vibrating issue with my 2.8i which has gradually got worse over time and has got to a stage now were it can no longer be driven! It started with a suttle vibration (which could be felt through the steering wheel) and only occured when going round left-hand bends. The wheels have been balanced and the track control arms / rod ends, steering rack etc all seem to be ok. I can ony resume there's something wrong with the suspension. I have noticed on occasion, while leaning on the o/s front wing, that the car will suddenly drop - almost as if it was stuck in place! Also when I bounce either side of the front end the suspension seems to stick a little. Could this mean that my struts are shot? If so are the bilsteins difficult to replace and how expensive are new ones? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks, Ste

There is a felt collar in the strut where the piston tube goes through top top bearing in the outer case.
Its dry!
They are assembled with a red greace but LM would do.
This will stop the struts sticking - not sure about the wobble.
