2.9 24v cosworth conversion

hello all i'm doing a 24v cosworth conversion on my mk2 capri the engine it mounted on the engine mounts but the gear box dosen't line up the the orignal mounts has anyone got any ideas!!

what engine mounts you using?

i've used 2.8 cross member and 2.8 mounts!!

If you use the proper gearbox (MT75) then you have to make the gearbox
cross member.

If you're trying to use a type 9 2.8 box which is a bad idea, it should fit.
If not, I'm guessing you have a 4 speed shell. In which case - nothing fits.

You will need to make a cross member and fixings to the floor.

i been trying to sort out the gear box mount and its being a bit off a sh*t!!
i had a look on capri sport and i can see that there have used the flat monut but i have look at that and it sits to far away from the body!! i have got a u shape mount but that sit about 160mm away for the holes on the car and sits low to the ground can any one help in pointing me in the right direction!!

you need to do the modd on the tunnel to get the box up higher.

wiring 2.9 24v

I am putting a 2.9 24v in my 2.8 capri If any one has done the wiring in one or could help that would be great. :?

We've done at least 20 fully built cars and twice as many engine looms - what do you want to know?
