Hello peeps,
Could someone tell me why all the cossy conversions are BOA and not the BOB engine. Basically can it be done as I have come across a good engine. All I can find dimension wise is the BOB has shorter heads. Surely this is a good thing

There are a lot of minor changes to the BOB from the BOA.
The changes that you can see are not the problem.
The big problem is the management system
BOA is EECIV can be used with a manual box retaining exhaust and speed sensors.
BOB is EECV is major drama to use without the auto box - has exhaust sensors after catalysts - not realistic.
The answer is to use the BOA management - all you need is the ECU the rest can be sorted with a wiring diagram.
Other differences
BOA one double row chain runs all 4 cams
BOB two single row chains 1 each side
BOB slighty more power - different inlet and cams
Exhaust manifolds are different - not so easy to work with.
BOB block is stronger - might just be pub talk?

Just some of what we do
Thanks for clearing that up CSR. I had a Boa fall into my lap last weekend anyway which has put my mind at ease. It hasen't got a loom with it though. Do you guys make your own looms at caprisport?
