spaceframe strut tops

Okay have grand ideas and grander schemes but for now just interested in making a spaceframe for the front end of my capri 2eight. I've sourced the tubing and have a few calculations but can't find anywhere that sell the flat and thick strut plates needed to weld the tubing to for the struts. Any ideas?
