Wing Mirror Glass Removal?
Is it possible to remove the glass from a passenger side wing mirror of a Mk3 without smashing it.. if so how is this done? It has to be possible, buit I'm just a dumb bleached-blonde who can't figure it out!
The passenger side mirror comes out if u just use a flat head screwdriver to prise (be careful not to dammage the plastic) the plastic frame off the metal shell. the mirror comes away with it then u just pull down the wider end of the plastic and the mirror slides out. I did this then dropped the damn mirror 30 seconds later... but you can pick up replacement for a non adjustable mirror really easily from motor spares places.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE OTHER SIDE OFF THOUGH? ( the drivers side adjustable mirror - I am repainting the metalwork but i want to strip fully and rustproof... also its powdercoating time so the plastic wont really appreciate staying on!) :p

Why should Escorts be more competitive than Capris? come on, give the 'scorts something to think about
