Mk3 Chassis Strengthening

Hi Guys
I have a Mk3 1.6GL shell which i am building up, eventually so i can use to compete in Scottish Classic racing.
Just wondering if there are well known ways to strengthen the Chassis apart from the obvious e.g. Roll Cage and Front and Rear Strut braces.

The car may also be upgraded to run a 3.0 V6 at somepoint so what stiffening would be suggested?
Where are the exact areas on V6 shells where extra stiffening is?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the info :)
I have had a look else where and i think i will build some gussets for the front inner wings to bulkhead area, but otherwise i not sure i will do much.
I have however decided to fit a Watts linkage, that may throw up a few issues so i may have to brace the rear chassis rails??
First off i need to sort out a alternative fuel tank as i will not have the space for the watts diff cover etc
