Hi

just had a dyno session at Aldon with my Essex.

Big valve heads , roller rockers - triple 42DCNF - 11.2 CR forged pistons - steel rods - V66 - ARP bolts and studs - windage tray etc.

We made 218bhp at 6200 - and was 215 bhp at 7500rpm - BUT the torque drop off started at 5500rpm from 198lb/ft to 165lb/ft.

Tubular manilolds have internal diameter of 37mm and the exhaust port in the heads are 38mm.

Appreciate the 1mm difference - but at high rpm - what sort of diameter and length primary should I be looking at the improve the high end torque.

Cheers
