Not too bad for the original engine I'd say. I've had her from new (August 1983) and have had to rebuild the 5 speed twice. Now need a brake upgrade as newer machinery make this weakness very apparent! Blue lines are after setting up on the Alan Jeffreys rolling road following unleaded conversion.

I am also a bit confused lol

I had my 2.8i capri on the rollers last year, completely stock, and it made 145bhp at the flywheel, (ford originally claimed 160bhp for the 2.8 ).

(This read out is after having a carb conversion but it made the same power as with injection)

As Tony said, please dont take offense but i dont think the engine is standard.

Bottom end etc is stock, but perhaps the Janspeed Turbo makes a difference

Edit

BTW, not sure if its flywheel or wheels, so being pessimitic, I'd say flywheel, although in 1984 it was making 285bhp (flywheel) on 5 star at 11psi - OES rollers at that time
