On my 2.8 when i steer to the right the steering is much heavier than when you turn to the left. Tyre pressures are the same, new ball joints and renewed bushes in the the track control arms. I have even changed the struts. Also when you have had left hand lock on and you let the steering wheel go through your hands it does'nt centre, but it does from right hand lock.Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like the rack mate,
you can re-adjust it, but not advisable.

also check to see if the anti roll bar bracket bolts are tight that bolt to the body,
two go through the inner wings and two bolt in from the engine bay out towards the front of the car

Eventualy got myself a new rack,(100 quid!,then the day after i fitted it a brand new one went for£40 on ebay) sorted the steering out. Turning left and right takes the same effort now and it centres it's self too. Thanks for your help.
