steering rack

theres something not quite right with my steering,sometimes on corning it just doent feel right and can shake,so as i have a spare rack i thought id just replace it all but i thought for peice of mind maby get it recond,anybody know anywhere good or have any idea how much it will cost if i supply the rack

is the rack mounting loose?
cross member loose?
warn lower track arms?
anti roll bar bushes?

You after a rack for a 2.8i or is it a 4cyl standard rack and pinion? 4cyl steering is pretty cheap to replace and a motor factors near me can still get em new, my last one only cost me about 30 odd quid from what I can remember, thats supplying a rack in exchange

Maybe worth checking track ball joint ends before you go to far as they tend to wear before the rack.

ok cheers for the advice guys,iv not had a look at it yet but iv noticed the steering only shudders when going around a left hand bend,the sharper the bend the worse it is,what problem would that point towards
