sounds like the floats or needles valves are stuck,
undo the fuel bowls remove and see if the needle valve is stuck shut,

in the past i have used a compressor and a low air pressure to try and pop the needle valve from its seat. by blowing it down the fuel inlet pipe to each carb.

I found that the bowls looked dry cos the car was on the p*ss, petrol is filling the bowls and you get a squirt into the primary barrels when the accelerator arm is pushed full on, still seams like no petrol geting past the jets, how do you get into them and is there one for each of the barrels /
Cheers

have you had the car running yet?
as the jets are vaccum operated,
the fuel is sucked from the venturri as you open the throttle,
the fuel pump squirts a jet into the carb to stop bogging and to act as an enrichment as the throttle opens,

if the car wont run have you tipped a little fuel down the carb and tried then?

Hi, Yeah did the petrol down the barrels and it tries to splutter, also gives a squirt when full throttle is applied. I got a feeling its blocked jets. will see if I can get them out without taking the carb off :)
