right lads havent been on here is ages my car been off the road for nearly 2 years , due to turbo problems and this being ireland no one to look after my car , fineally found a great guy who is a cosworth engineer too .. so now he doing stuff with my BEAST .............

so here is my questions , i bought a 1990 2.9 12v granada
my first questions is
are the 3exhaust port {2.9 12v} heads usable on a 2.8 block
is there much benifit to fitting the EFI system to my MFI car takin in to consideration its running a 230bhp conversion then shortened conrods race pistons , but standard block to bring it too 3200cc ,
also will the EFI help as planning on going twin turbo next year or so as want 420bhp ..... engine built for 450bhp as is everything else in the drive side off car


300 bhp {approx} 185 mph and road legal enough said

No they don't fit.

It's not just about the 3 ports - 2 of the cylinders are back to back
on the 2.8. They are all the same way round on the 2.9.

The cam lobes will be in the wrong order.

Think the good bits you have in the 2.8 boat anchor will fit in the 2.9
block.

That's the way to go if it works.

Electronic beats mechanical every time.

one question - if the block is standard, then the crank must have a longer stroke.
Either that or you have no idea what your talking about?
