unleaded ?

are the pinto engines already designed to take unleaded fuel or should i have the head done, although i have done approx 20,000 miles on unleaded fuel with no probs.
everyone i ask seems to have a different opinion on this so does anyone actually know for definate?

i think the pinto is not set up for unleaded,
BUT the efi head is if im correct,
