Side exhaust

hmm, jus' wandering if anyone's done this kinda exhaust on their capri, and if they have, did they have any structural problems with the pipe exiting through the inner wing..??? any comments good and bad'd be great!

obviously the pipe would have to either be short enough or longer back so's not to gush in your face as you sit in london's finest summer traffic?

I am curious as to why you need to run it through the inner wing?
I have a side exit exhaust on my Mk1 Escort which comes out just in front of the o/s rear wheel. It runs in the original position upto roughly behind the drivers door then branches out to just infront of the wheel. Sounds great.

Yeh, nice setup....just thought that seeing as the most direct place the exhaust could come from is through the inner wings....check out the pic...

I see what you are getting at with that picture. However for road use you will need to sort out some kind of silencer. I see the TVR is turbo charged as well this takes away a lot of the noise. A friend of mine once showed me his cosworth engine running with no down pipe fitted (you could see the turbo turbine) and on tickover it was as quiet as a pinto with a full janspeed.
