2.8i misfire etc.

My 2.8i had been running ok and now has developed a misfire . The spark plugs are black, it stalls if left to idle when warm and won't restart until it's cooled down. Comp tested and got 170 to 180 on all 6. Fairly recent magnecour ht leads, new plugs dizzy is sparking to all leads. I'm leaning towards the warm up regulator. Can you check these? Has anyone got any other ideas?
