2.0 turbo kit
some bloke on ebay is selling a 2.0 pinto turbo kit which he had fitted on his Mk2 escort. Would this fit Mk3 capri with same engine? Is it worth doing?
Oh yes. Never got round to fitting mine to my pinto, but it'll definitely work!
The best plan is to use the sierra pinto fuel injection setup, with a megasquirt, and a T3 - obviously you need the exhaust manifold for the turbo.
With that setup, you CAN run high boost, and get 200bhp!! I wouldnt expect the engine to last that long tho. The better plan is to get a pinto 205 block, cossie pistons (low comp), and run that. Will be much more durable.
If its real power you want tho, fit a Cossie crank, and pistons, with a modded flywheel (Burton Power £££'s), plus all the above. I've spoken with a bloke who has this lot, and he reckons he's running just over 300bhp.
Of course - i had the alternative for cheap 24v...so i did that
