Hi

I am a new comer to the website; I have however been a great lover of Capri?s for some time. With my dad owning a Beige 1.6 gl (I think) and later a 2 year old black 2.0l S. I am now only just approaching 21, with a house on the way I want a Capri has project but not major as I have limited skills.

I have been told that the 2.0S and the 2.8 are able to have the Mondeo 2.5 Zetec 175bhp engines fitted to them with reasonable ease. With the brakes form same model or the ST24 being an option also. ? I do find this hard to believe due to the time in between the 2 cars being made that the parts are almost a straight swap? Have I been miss ? informed?
Any help would be great?!

Thanks

You have been miss - informed - it's total rubbish on all conts.

The Mondeo 2.5 is Duratec and does not fit.
The v6 or ST 24 calipers do not fit - front or rear.

It's shame because it's not a bad engine.
The only possibility is the Jaguar variation from an S type 3 litre manual.
Not easy to find and expensive but it would make a verry nice car.

mun-deno engine!
