Hi, have a look at the connectors at the fuel tank sender. They are right behind the n/s rear wheel and get all the road dirt sprayed on them. They usually corrode.

to check the gauge, join the 2 contacts on the sender together and the gauge should go full scale.

Is the temperature gauge behaving itself?

I didn't even notice if the temp sensor was working,
I'll have to look the weekend as the car is at my parents home.
Thanks for the tip for checking the gauge, i'll try this.

Mine has done same. If you drive car for 20 miles it just creaps out of reserve. Wiggled wires on sender and it went up but it keeps happening.

Tank level gauge.

Hey , 8)
Carefully remove each connector in turn ,
Then clean out the connectors.
Clean the tank terminals ,
Use a bit of metal abrasive tape/paper .
Refit the wires .
JOHN. :)
