Headlights MOT Failure

Post by barkin »

Hi,

Haven't posted for a while but wondered if anyone could help me out...

I have a mk3 2.8i, which has just failed its MOT. Of all things, it was down to the headlights being wired incorrectly. Any chance anyone can help, I have changed the wiring to the following (advised by the garage) but not sure if its right.

Outer; Side and Dipped
Inner; Full beam.

This looks right but if anyone can confirm this would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks, Chris.

That is correct as long as the actual lamps are in the correct places.

That's great, thanks.

The odd thing is on the previous MOT they said it was correct and on this one they wanted it changed over. Also, the wire colours don't match through now (its one colour then another colour) as I have had to swap the contacts around.

If it passes I'm happy.

Thanks again.
