2.8 or 2l axle

hi new 2 site need abit of help my diffs making a not so good whining ive got a 2.o sport sitting on drive rotting will the axle be a easy swap i know the gearing is differant but what about the brakes some say 2.0l brakes are better others say not and if swaping brakes will shafts need changing and how hard are they 2 do. havent played with them before and need the best but simplest way of doing it thanks people.ps its not a lsd.

i think the back plates are the same, so just change the drums and linings,

2.8 and 2 litre back plates are not the same

the 2.8 shoes are wider than 2 litre so the back plates have a deeper dish

you will need to swap the lot.

The shafts are the same so no need to swap but you will need to get them out.
That will be the challenge!!
