Hi Just a silly question really, but how long will my 2.0 atlas axle last with 3.0 essex torque being pushed through it? I know if i do donuts everywhere it wont last 5 minutes, but im wondering whether i should Rebuild the 2.0 diff with the hub and bearings from 3.0 but keeping the nice 3.44 2.0 ratio (or is it the halfshafts that are the weaklink?) help appreciated

the 2 litre axle is just as strong as the 3 litre one. The only difference between the 2 is simply the CWP gears and the brakes.

ive got a 2.1 pinto in my capri with a 1600 axle 3:75.1 ratio...
seems to cope well enough...acceleration is pretty fruity!!
and with twin 45 DCOE"s i can hit the red line in 5th, about 120ish mph on the speedo....but i am aware how innacurate capri speedos are
