I wonder if anyone can advise me? I've got a whining diff on my 2.8i (not uncommon I gather). It was my fault though. I didn't notice all the oil leaking out of a hole in the cover on the way down to Cornwall. On the way back it developed a whine at 50mph which dies off above 65mph and when I ease off the accelerator. Is there a particular bearing that needs replacing or shall I do them all?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Tim.

personally if it was me while the diff is apart check/change them all, setting the preload on the front bearing can be a pain though, not advised for the novice to attempt.
