Heater Motor

Post by Mikecapri2.8i »

The heater motor on my Cpari has stopped working..how difficult is this to take out? do I have to remove the whole heater assembly, or can I get at the bolts for the motor with the heater assembly in the car?

the whole assembly has to come out, as the motor is on the top of the heater box, depending on what model capri you have you may need to remove the wiper motor and arms to gain clearance for the heater box to come out.

Thanks, spent the day pulling it out, cleaned out all the leaves that were jamming the fan, lubricated the bearing and put it all back in..blows like a charm! Didn't need to take out the wiper motor, but everything in the lower dash and even the center console!
