Hello from the USA! Most of the Capris here succumbed to the tin worm long ago, so I'm approaching this forum for advice. I was lucky and found a low mile Mark II V-6 in California that was still in good shape. I bought a reproduction front air dam/spoiler of the Mark II "S" model, but I'm hesitant to install it as it seems to block airflow through the intake under the bumper. Has anyone experience with this reproduction, or recommendations? Scott

The genuine version is a 2 part thing that fixes around the vents.

It does not block them.

Can you trim the moulding to achieve this?

You are correct, I can see in photos of the Mark II "S" that the original Ford air dam was a two piece unit. As offered by the Capri club, it's one piece with no slots cut out for cooling air, where the original did. I'm thinking of cutting out a much bigger section to feed the large opening under the bumper which the early M2s had. I had hoped to correspond with someone that had experience working with the reproduction. Thanks for responding to my query. Scott
