Overheating issues are standard fit on most 2.8's If you have one that runs fine, go buy a lottery ticket because you're very lucky. Get the sniffer test done on the header tank then you'll know. The cooling system is borderline at best and the slightest blockage will tip it over the edge. If it onl...

There should be a tag under one of the cover bolts which might just be readable if you're lucky. If not here's how to tell. hold one half shaft still and turn the other 2 complete revolutions. The input shaft will turn the number or turns that relates to the ratio. In the case of the 2 litre axle, i...

Have to disagree - Burtons is the last place you go.

The same stuff available from other suppliers but more expensive.

You should be able get 2.8 gaskets from a local supplier.
Payen or BGA maybe FIA
They'll need to order them for you but it should'nt be a problem.

Does sound like the master cylinder.

Your servo should be the one with M10 studs (Lucas Girling)

Would think it's a 20mm cylinder so just get hold of any Capri cylinder -
1.6 - 2.0 - 3.0 they will be 20 or 22 so will work fine.

Later 3.0 and 2.8 are ATE so will not fit the servo.

None of the off the shelf stuff fits so the answer is to buy as cheap as possible
and spend the money saved making it fit.

The Peter Lloyd price is good, pretty sure we payed more than that the last time
so when we need another, I know where to look.

You need to know a bit more about the springs. I don't believe that they are original 2.8 They will be new to suit the rates and lengths for the 2.8 If you can find out the figures, let me know, they might be fine. We do get interest from Ireland but shipping costs more and (sweeping generalisation ...

It'a 2.8 - course you should be worried.

Sorry - couldn't resit it

If it goes ok other than that, leave well alone.

They run week and added to the lack of unleaded capability,
it's going to kick the bucket eventually.

Worth checking that the valve clearances haven't closed up.

Yes I would reccomend 13" tyres for 15" wheels abviously.

Do you see 13" in the post anywhere?

No didn't think so.

7x15 is the realistic choice.

off-set should be as close to 5 as you can get.

Think you now know the answers to these questions but for anyone else reading this - Both BOA & BOB only had auto boxes fitted. The specialy built MT75 fits both. The clutch is cable and uses the 2.8 cable you have. BOA has no servo take off but take a look at www.Caprisport.com 24V page The egr pip...

Wish I had a quid every time I had this conversation. It's a sad fact that there are no "technical experts" at Rally Design. Like a lot of these suppliers, you have to know what you are buying because they certainly don't know what they are selling. The 54mm M16 is about 22 sq cm - that eaquals 38mm...

Your problem is that you are using components that do not work together. Amongst people who know about brakes, Wilwood is viewed as a bit of a joke. Allthough the actual calipers are not that bad, it's the way they are used which is the problem. Wilwood make cheap alloy calipers. Other people with l...
