300 is total bull crap if the original inlet system is still fitted. 225 is about the max with the original throttle body unless the air is forced in with a turbo or super charger. Even so, it will still make the Essex look very clumsy indeed. The T5 box is not the right thing but you should be able...

One end or the other of the shocks is not done up correctly. Get an assistant to drive the car whilst you climb in the boot. Take the little bungs out so you can touch the top of the shock. If I'm right, you will feel the knock. The squeek is normal with AVO's - a bit cheap and chearfull I'm afraid....

There are minor variations in the shells but nothing that will cause you any problems. Other people may well remember some other stuff but the 2 things that come to mind right now are the exhaust hangers and the front cross member fixings. The rear exhaust hanger can be un-bolted from the 2.8 and re...

That has to be the one we fitted a proper gearbox to? Just noticed the picture at the top is the car that was in Classic Ford and went to Ireland. We have a new one now with an awsome spec. Think we need to think about a 24V Capri register? http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p105/caprisport/1engineb...

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p105/caprisport/1cossywheels.jpg Think the picture speaks for it's self? Brembo 300 front brakes so discs on outside of hubs and additional 10mm spacer. Rear is Cosworth vented disc system also with 10mm spacers. Wheels are Escort Cosworth 8x16 with 225-40 Toyo Pr...

It's always been assumed that Ford 5 speed oil is in fact a type of auto transmission fluid. Nobody really knows but the fact you run it without problems, kind of suggests it's ok. Lots of vehicles now use Dexron 3 in transfere cases and thats just gears and chains. Think the 6 speed on our Z28 uses...
