There is very little difference in any of the Mk 3 shells.

If you have a Laser - it's as good as a 2.8 - just minor bits
that make no real difference.

When you know the answer it is a stupid question.
If you don't know about all the different MT 75 variations, it's a fair question.

Have a look at the Caprisport 24V pages. There are plenty of gearbox pictures so you can see exactly what you need.

First thing you should do is look at www.caprisport.com Go to both the 24v and the 12v 2.9 pages - lots of pictures and info There are loads of old wives tales about these so be prepared to wade through the cow poo. Looking at more stuff on internet will just make this worse. Talk to Neil at caprisp...

Simon Wooley back at Classic Ford (and not before time)

We have just learned that Simon will be back where he belongs as the Editor of Classic Ford. Looks like there is going to be a big shake-up so hopefully, a few less Escorts and a few more Capris. Both Tony and myself have known Simon for a number of years and we know this can only be a good thing. T...

There is a felt collar in the strut where the piston tube goes through top top bearing in the outer case.
Its dry!
They are assembled with a red greace but LM would do.
This will stop the struts sticking - not sure about the wobble.

You could spend far to much money on some mickey mouse Willwood or hi-spec rubbish and if you don't know any better, you might be happy. If you want brakes that realy do work in a 13" wheel, there is only one design. Buy fake copies or genuine, the important thing is moving the disc to the outside o...

Brackets are genuine Caprisport.

Master cylinder is stock 22mm but may be upped a little to 24 or 25mm

The answer to the original question is - Yes Escort Cosworth wheels fit fine. If you have brakes that work (outboad mounted discs adding 8mm) then a 4 - 6 mm spacer will sort the front out. As mentioned, the centre location is an issue. The back is fine assuming rear discs adding 8 mm - should be ok...

The stock 22mm cylinder is not really going to do the job. You can get away with it but you will have more pedal travel and you won't be happy with it. As Colin suggests, the 23.8 is the way to go if you have a 2.8 servo. This is the size that Ford use when the 60mm piston is on the front and drums ...

Jon mentioned this to me - Can remember years ago seing an Escort with something like this. Kind of like the old "twin 40" type thing but with vertical carbs. Think they were more common on the Fiat twin cams but someone made OHV-Cross-flow and pinto manifolds. Would have been early to mid 80's Neil

Not this time - it's Jon.

The early Sierra had the same push on type plug as the Capri.

Think all the mk 2 stuff is ok

ABS is obviously no good - cap is very different.
