If you email us at - info@caprisport.com - you will get a reply as long as your comunication doesn't look like spam or have some nasty surprise attached. You might not get a reply if you ask dum quastions as well, but that's just my in-tolerance of being pestered by idiots. If you ask about joining ...

Although the Princess caliper is a cast iron antique, it's not really the problem. The real problem is the disc is size and mounting position. We know the disc is too small because cars with brakes that work have larger discs. Not hard to work that one out? The other problem is more involved - loosi...

You fit perfectly into the group of people we just don't have enough time to help. You already have many ideas that are miss guided and do not want to build a car to a good relyable spec. I am however pleasantly surprised that you understand and I think that unlike a lot of people, you would be open...

V8 Rovers and dreamers

Quite an interesting dialog. It's not just about people wasting your time. Caprisport is an evenings and weekends thing so we have limited time. We have to go with what the membership wants, and V8 is just not it any more. The 24V Cosworth is very popular and it makes a nicer car to drive. It's chea...

That's the only way to go if you want brakes that work.

Remember that you will need some propper wheels.

Get your self a new wheel bearing - the seal is part of it.

Check that the axle breather is clear.

170 lb is the sensible choice and 190 if you want it real firm.

145 isn't realy adequate for a 2 litre if you want it to handle.

People that don't know any better still keep trying to sell them though?

If the bar is original - it's 22mm on the 1.6

A 2 litre Laser has the 24mm bar.

Obviously, it's the outside diameter of the bar.

They will have the Ford oval and the part number in the centre well between the bolt holes.

There are 2 possibly more different part numbers.

Can check them with what I have if you need it.

There are lots of different oppinions on this subject most of which will be formulated in the pub by people who have never had a Capri round a track. This is what works - Front springs - as stiff as you can stand - 220lb is a hard as you can get on stock platforms. After that it's coilovers. 220 les...

The shape of the casting looks like it might be to fit the Cosworth 24V. I have to question the your idea of fitting something like this on a 2.8. It's loads of money and work on an engine that's just not worth it. At the very least start with a 2.9 - proper un-leaded heads with the right number of ...
