a friend of mine had a similar thing on his 2.8,
turned out to be valve seat errosion due to the unleaded fuel,
a slight adjustment on the tappets and the car was fine again,
have you checked the valve clearance????

A trip to Caprisport eh? what are you doing to it now Tony? Cheers mate  btw - your car always had a 2.0 servo I guess... are you running the landrover master cylinder? ...I got a 2.0 servo off the bay the other day but I'm sure its not in very good nick... you can barely push the thing back ...

a good exhaust but to get it to fit right is a fooking nightmare,,
just had to get caprisport to cut my whole system up top get it to fit properly to the car,
does sound nice though, 2" competition system with 3" tailpipes on my 4.6 v8 capri.
Its the fittment quality that let the systems down,

the inserts on a 2.8 are upside down,
and coming through at the base of the strut should be the thread of the insert with a lock nut,

Hi mate, welcome to the forum, the 3 litre struts are the runt of the capri world, they are not really helpfull to anyone, as nothing is interchangeable with the hubs etc, where as , 1.6, 2.0 and 2.8i hubs are all interchangable which makes doing brake conversions a whole lot easier, not sure who to...
