mk2/3 strut differences

Hi all, are mk2 struts the same as mk3 as i am looking at one which says
"FORD CAPRI MK2 1.3/1.6/2.0 1976 on FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE , SUSPENSION STRUT WITH NEW INSERT"
I thought 76' on would be mk3.
Cheers, Danny

Well i just fitted new pads and the braking side has cleared up......But it still wanders left (at least it brakes in a straight line now). Theres only the strut tops and roll bar bushes left to check i think. If it aint either of them I need a bin big enough to get car in!!!

Mine has done same. If you drive car for 20 miles it just creaps out of reserve. Wiggled wires on sender and it went up but it keeps happening.
