Hi, do you know who did the service. Have they used a synthetic or semi synthetic oil in your engine? Pinto engines need to run on mineral oil 10/40. Synthetic oils are too thin for pinto's and also too thin to work properly lubricating the cam shaft. A sympton of thin oil would be low oil pressure....

Hi, I fitted EFI to my standard pinto head. Well it was actually a stage two head. I did need to change the cam though. Burtons do an injection cam. I also filed about 3mm out of the top of the intake ports in the head. Did not have much to take out as they were already opened up and polished. I use...

Hi, idealy you would press them out of the leaf springs either with a press or a bench vice. When I changed my leaf spring bushes I ended up chiseling/cutting them out. The problem is the outer metal part of the bush corrodes inside the spring eye. It is similar to the rear anti roll bar bushes. I d...

Changing the bushes should not be too dificult if you have some mechanical experience. The hardest part will be getting the old bushes out of the leaf springs and the rear roll bar as these are pressed in. The front should be reletivly easy to do. I would allow a day to change all the bushes if you ...

Hi, running a standard pinto you would be better off using webber 40's. You would normally run 45's on a stage 3 cylinder head with a stronger bottom end. With a good tubular exhaust manifold and twin 40's jetted right you could achieve 150-160 bhp. Changing the cam is an option but you will need to...
