Swap the temp sender to the one that goes with the guage.

You will need a late 2.8 rev counter - one with a white base.

There is a green wire from the EDIS module for the rev counter.
Connect where the green coil- wire went.

Oil guage - swap the fitting off the 2.8 engine.
As simple as it sounds.

You'll get lots of conflicting advice oth subject of 24V swaps. So I'm going to tell you how it is - you can take note and build a sound reliable package or you can listen to people who have no idea what they're doing, and it'll all go wrong. The correct gearbox is far more important than the paint ...

Laser's are not especially collectable and pretty hopeless in stock form.

Mod it sensibly with some brakes, suspension, wheels and a modern
more powerful fuel efficient engine then you can really enjoy it.

Why don't you just order the discs from Caprisport with the stud pattern you want?

Looks like you have the correct servo - check the master cylinder nuts - should be 17mm. Your not improving the rear in any way so why would you need to reduce the pressure? So obviously, a valve is not required. You will need the larger master cylinder - try it but I'd put money on you having more ...

Sender part numbers

Found the part numbers which are Intermotor. 52630 listed for 2.8 in some cataloges - it's wrong - has a spade not round terminal and resistance is too high so will just touch the lower end of the scale if at all. 52750 listed for OHC and loads of other stuff - has the correct round pin and seems to...

We've had problems with senders recently.

looks like there is some duff info out there.

When you look up a sender for a 2.8, it also fits some Sierras which is not correct.

We went for OHC in the end which worked ok.

You will need a larger master cylinder which will mean changing to a 2 litre servo.

The Brembo calipers don't have large pistons so they are not realy the pronblem.
The up-grade to rear discs is where the extra fluid movement is most important.

As the honourable gentlemen says - the Essex is a boat anchor whartever you try to do with it,
unless you have milions to spend and you re-design everything - bit like the Cosworth GA?

You need to get rid of the 3 litre struts in favour of 1.6 / 2.0 then you will be able to fit some brakes that work.

If you are desperate to keep them then the Caprisport GTR 260 system will fit with a bit of adjustment.
