Hi Richard, I had the exact same problem on my 2.8 mate, frankly the standard units are shocking! You could try replacing with some decent 2nd hand ones, doubt you'll find any new replacements! But to be honest this won't really help because they're pathetic. I even tried the original units with som...

Hi Eddie, i thought about doing the exact same thing mate but got told by the MOT people that it wouldn't be legal. My thinking was that modern cars have the indicators in the main light cluster, so i asked for an explanation.... Aparently the indicator can be behind the same lens as the other light...

Ignition Coil Question
Hi Guys, I'm in the middle of my rebuild, just passed the bit where you feel like giving up and binning the whole thing, things are finally begining to look Capri shaped! But i've come to refit the engine bay and one of the terminals has cracked off my ignition coil taking half the top with it, it's...

Cold Start Injector
Hi everyone, could anybody tell me for 100% definate if the cold start injector on a 2.8i Capri is the same as the one's used on other Ford engines? Such as the 1.6 CVH lump as fitted to Escort Turbo's? I've sourced myself a 7th injector controller, that was previously fitted to an '85 Escort Turbo,...

Brilliant ! Thanks for your reply! So my next question would be, would i see the benefit of doing this to my 2.8i?! Or are the standard ford ratios a good match for the 2.8 engine? Wasn't the top speed of the 2.8 special listed as 140mph? How much of this do you think i would lose if i swapped the a...

Hi lads, sorry for not being clued up on these things but why would you swap the lsd into the 2 litre axle? I've got a 2.8i with the lsd, the car is currently in the middle of being rebuilt, but i've got a spare 2 litre axle and now i'm really curious as to which would be best? I thought the 2.8i ls...

Hi guys, i read this one with interest as i've always wondered what oil i should be running! I originally started using 20w-50 when i first bought my car, i'd had the engine rebuilt and so just followed the ford guidelines and used the original spec oil. The engine lasted 25,000miles, which turned o...

Hi Ade, The rear seat belts have 3 anchor points. You'll have to get underneath your rear seat to find some of them. There is 1 on the bottom of each wheel arch panel inside the car, close to where it runs into the floor pan. There are 2 more, one on each side, next to the curve of the rear 3/4 glas...
