Found this: http://www.auto-diagnostics.info/ford_eec_iv I assume by pin 30, you refer to the ECU pin for transmission indicated on this diagram. Why does this need to have +12v and why do you say "both pin 30s". Cant get a spark using this setup although there is voltage switching on and off at the...

Can anyone help as the Haynes doesn't seem to show pin outs for the ECU. Also, I've connected the negative side of the coil to the pl...

No power or idle
Hi all, I'm putting this in the elec area but not sure what the problem is. The car is playing up yet again. It starts from cold with a slight missfire that disapears when reved. After a couple of mins idleing it gradually slows and cuts out unless reved. Its a 2 litre pinto with 1.6 power when driv...

Thanks for clearing that up CSR. I had a Boa fall into my lap last weekend anyway which has put my mind at ease. It hasen't got a loom with it though. Do you guys make your own looms at caprisport? ("The answer is to use the BOA management - all you need is the ECU the rest can be sorted with a wiri...

Cosworth BOB
Hello peeps,
Could someone tell me why all the cossy conversions are BOA and not the BOB engine. Basically can it be done as I have come across a good engine. All I can find dimension wise is the BOB has shorter heads. Surely this is a good thing

Compliment him on the motor when you see him! Supercharging is one of the option i've considered on the pinto. There are a couple on youtube. Very distinctive sound...and acceleration  There are plenty of the Eaton ones off the mini that i've been looking at, although i doubt it'd even caus...

There's a guy posting on youtube with a supercharged 3.9 V8. No doubt his email will be on there and you could get some ideas off him
Not sure if its rover powered, but here's his profile.

OK. Cleaned it again. Followed the instructions. Put it on car and its drivable but has a flat spot when you take off (you have to feed in the throttle very gently-if you floor it, it dies). After reading a few threads on various sites, this seems indicative of a lean condition. How could a pinto be...
