Does it have a problem or did you just want to test the compression.

When you did the test did you hold the throttle open, if not try again and see what readings you get.

Hi Tony,

I dont think they can be replaced. That's one reason I changed to the 2.0 strut as its possible to replace the insert and you can also change to adjustable quite cheaply.

Dont believe what it says. I was advised to used it by an ex Ford rally Team who rebuilt my diff many years ago.

Have never had a problem with it.

Or you could go the T5 route and fit a bell housing from RicWood but that very expensive (£450) and you have to make up your own release arm.

If you interested in one I just happen to have one that I fitted to my V6 and then immediately changed to a V8.

Chroming plastic can be done but its very specialised and think its going to be quite expensive. I did have someone do a side vent for a MK1a Capri but that was a few years back. They have to first coat the plastic in a layer of copper, once that has been done then its just the normal chroming proce...

Thats looking great.

The only thing I would say is redo the brake pipes and try and keep the bends uniform and the lengths straight. I know its not easy to do but it will improve the finished look under the bonnet.

Hope you dont mind the comment, everthing else looking really good.

I have exactly the same problem as you. I fitted -2 inch coil overs and now my shocks bottom out so have a Delmer.

Do I refit -1 inch or look at inserts that are shorter and then reduce the length of the strut thats its going into.

Does anyone else have any thoughts.
