24V rev counter

Is it true that you can only use the late model rev counters(white backings) with ECU's?
Yes - there is a green wire from the EDIS6 which is connected in the same way you would from the coil.

Exhaust sensors

Not sure how it will run. The ECU needs to see a major improvement in the emissions on the second sensor. By doing what you plan, the readings will be the same, so it will assume the cat has failed. Quite what it will do about it - not sure. I'm currently doing some work with the Jaguar 4 litre supe...

rear brake pipes etc

Just had a chat with Neil - Don't know why they have not seen emails but that's not un-common. Due to previous problems, they have a pretty serious ant-virus firewall thing but he suspects that BT might be an issue as they don't even get to see anything never mind fishing it out of the suspect pile....

BOB ECU

No - is the simple answer The BOB is EEC 5 which has sensors after the cats. There's another issue too - the auto box is electronic controlled and coupled to the engine ECU If you use the cats and the auto box - it's fine but I'm guessing that's not your plan. I'll have a word with Neil - think ther...

Cosworth & type 9 - bad idea

You'll get conflicting information on this but when you get to the real truth, people only fit the type 9 because they don't have the funds or the ability to fit the Mt 75. You can just chuck it on and hope for the best - 2.8 flywheel and clutch - but there will be problems. The tin gasket that fits...

Brake problems

looks like you've launched into something a bit beyond your ability. If you're not getting answers to email questions, could be they're not being received. If you're asking stupid questions, or not taking any notice of what you've been told, that too might be a reason. Think I can help you with the ...

pedal travel issue

Looks like you have everything as it should be. Only two things to look at. Pipes - the front calipers are supplied from the front of the cylinder - furthest from the servo. Rear from the closest to the servo. Rear brakes - if you still have drums - they will need to be adjusted very carefully - mos...

Let's go back to basics here because you clearly have something wrong and you can't see what - it will be obvious and please forgive me if I sound like I'm treating you like an idiot - that's not the intention. We just need to start at the beginning and go through everything. What size is the master...

The Land Rover cylinders are quite cheap and easy to get. If you have a 2 litre servo - it's easy. If you you have a 2.8, then sounds like the Merc option is good as long as price and availability are sensible. Think you need to tell us a bit more and maybe some pictures if you can. This forum is ve...

What it means is what you save buying a European MT75 will be spent
getting the clutch cable sorted. And they don't last for ever.

If the box is cheap enough - try to get a UK 4x4 front case for it.
Then the stock 2.8 cable fits fine.

If this was another forum, you'd have had loads of dum ideas by now and the no-marks would be arguing with eachother as to how you should spend your money. What you need to do is decide what you want from the car. I'm guessing it's going to be a bit of a "weekend toy"? So fuel consumption is a conss...
