Ok I'm uncertain on this 2.9 EFI conversion already. Can anyone tell me what cars have this engine? I noticed 96 and 97 scorpios have a 2.9 12valve so was gonna find one of those as they're pretty cheap now and at only 10yrs old there's some good example out there. Is that the engine I want or do I...

2.9 EFi from a granada, easy to fit and years ahead if the 2.8 MFi, unleaded safe, better fuel consumtion, easyer starting hot or cold, mor torque :D
MT75 is not a straight swap but is a better box than the Type 9 but if your box is ok stick with it :)

I usually soak the whole caliper in a bucket of diesel for a week or so, it will destroy the seals but if they are as bad as you say they are gonna need changing anyway so try some WD40 see if it frees them and just replace the seals after.

Sierra/granada and capri mounts are totaly different, the easyest loom will be from a granada as they are self contained, IE have all the relays in one sub-loom so no sodding about with relays and stuff :D
I'll ask on the clutch for ya :)

Injection cars need a swirl pot in the tank (a sort of reserve tank inside the main tank) to keep the pump constantly fed with fuel when the tank is low on fuel and it's sloshing about, if air gets into the pump it will stall and the injectors will loose pressure, a 2.8i tank incorperates all the bi...

Wouldn't bother with twin sidedraughs TBH unless the head is flowed/cam fitted, standard twin choke is good up to 140BHP ish before it becomes a restriction, there better ways to spend the money AND as csr states they go out of tune on a regular basis need specialist setting up ect. 2.9 can be done ...

Remove the blue lamp covers in the dash and replace the old clear 2W bulbs with blue 5W 501 capless bulbs, they cost around 99P for 2 you will notice the difference. If you run high boost on it it will, you could use a decomp plate to lower the CR but i've no experiance with them.
Transit low comp block would last longer mayby??
