7M's are a good motor but are getting old and WILL pop head gasket if you even look at a track, best bet is to use a 1j or 2jz. 2j's are very expensive, go for a 1j. Thinking about it, befor you go cutting up your car, I have some good results with CalTrac bars, my mate's XY Falcon (1450kg 463hp) ran 11.19 at 119mph, on slicks with a 1.6 60foot, front wheels in the air and all!
