I have the same problem on my 5 speed, i know this post is fairly old but if anyone can guide me in the direction of the problem that would be great, it starts at about 1500rpm increses in pitch and dies off about 2500-3000rpm, major problem or not?

Yeah got it sorted mate and that was the problem, dodgy dimmer switch.

I have a 6 pod dash and the lights are not working when I switch them on, what I was wondering before I take the dash out are the bulbs connected in series, if one bulb goes does it stop the others swiching on or is the problem els where with them all dead?
